Preach the Gospel at All Costs
"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." - John 4:35 (KJV)
In light of the context of this verse, we grasp a hint of evangelistic outreach / disciple-making. So concerned was Jesus with people needing salvation that at this time he refused to eat. The message was clear: His passion supplanted His natural desire for food, which conveys to us the urgency of Gospel proclamation in the midst of a dying world. Be biblical. Be loving. Be appropriate (rebuke when needed; comfort when needed), but preach the message of hope.
